LC KinderCollege is operated as a program of Lewis Clark State College. We are located on campus at 805 4th St.
We offer quality child care for children as young as six weeks. Our preschool classes are staffed by Head Teachers who have degrees in education and/or early childhood education. The teacher assistants in each class are students of LCSC working toward degrees in these fields.
LC KinderCollege works closely with the Education, Nursing, and Early Childhood Education programs in establishing a curriculum which seeks to address the needs of each individual child.
Lesson plans are balanced. There are child-directed activities and teacher-lead activities, individual and group activities, quiet and active times.
Curriculum is planned to enhance your child’s growth and development in these areas:
- social skills
- creative expression
- problem solving/cognitive growth
- sensory integration
- fine and gross motor skills
- language and literacy
Field trips are conducted to various sites in the valley. Transportation is provided by campus and/or private vehicles.
Parents and guardians are an integral part of our center. Quality care must be facilitated by open communications between parents and staff. You are encouraged to ask questions, express concerns and offer suggestions as you feel necessary. Our mutual concern is quality care for your child.
