Lewis-Clark State College continues to draw recognition for its excellence in preparing highly-qualified teacher by offering innovative programs in elementary and secondary education. These programs provide coursework and classroom teaching experiences that help students to become competent teachers under the mentorship of a team of successful, college faculty and classroom teachers.
LCSC Teacher Education promotes high quality in teaching through a unique combination of student-centeredness, collaborative instruction, curriculum integration, professional partnerships, a dedicated faculty, and attention to performance assessment.
The following two reports document the structure and operations of the teacher education programs at Lewis-Clark State College, as required by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Idaho Professional Standards Commission (PSC), respectively. Both reports were created for the purpose of reaccreditation procedures taking place in the Spring of 2006.
