TTL Equipment Loans
For the purpose of completing coursework, Education students may borrow the following equipment from the Technology for Teachers Lab:
- Notebook computers running MacOS®
- Digital camcorders (video cameras)
- Digital cameras
- Digital audio recorder
- Tripods
- LCD projectors with adaptors
- Speakers for computers
- Flatbed scanners
- Mini tape recorder
Loan Procedures
Education students who wish to borrow equipment must bring in a valid student ID card (WarriorOne). They must also be currently enrolled and be declared an Education major. Students will be required to read and sign a Technology Responsibility Form before being allowed to borrow any equipment.
PACE and Distance Education students must print off and sign the Technology Responsibility Form, and then mail (or fax, then mail) the signed form to the Technology for Teachers Lab before equipment will be issued.
Equipment is available for loan on a first-come, first serve basis. Reservations can be made to ensure availability of items.
Most equipment is loaned for one business day at a time; computer loans are available for extended periods of time. Items must be returned by 4:00 PM on the due date. Any item returned overdue will incur a late fee of $5.00 per day (including weekends and holidays).
Students are given a contract to sign when borrowing items. The contract lists all the equipment loaned, loan date, due date, and any existing damage to the equipment. All items listed on the contract must be returned by the due date in order to prevent late fees.
It is the student's responsibility to examine the equipment for damage and to make sure the equipment works before taking it from the lab. Any damage will be noted on the contract by TfT staff. The student will be held responsible for any damage done to the equipment while checked out in his or her possession
Special arrangements can be made to extend the loan time of certain items. Extensions are granted on a case by case basis. Only TTL Lab staff can grant these extensions; please contact us directly.
If a student is unable to return equipment on time, he or she may call the TfT Lab to renew the equipment. In the event that the item is reserved, the student will not be granted an extension, and must return the item or be charged a late fee.
